CNC Programmer/Set-Up/Assistant Mold/Fixture Maker

Responsibilities:

Interact with Engineering and Machine Shop personnel

Generate CNC programs to support New Products / Tooling Projects

Identify tooling required to support the CNC machine programs

Assist shop personnel to optimize the manufacturing process defined by the CNC program

Qualifications:

Ability to develop CNC programming from CAD design drawings or prototype parts with minimal supervision required

Working knowledge of Surfcam and Solidworks preferred

Ability to write and edit programs in G-Code

Knowledge of raw materials and related machinability (specifically plastics and aluminum) preferred

Two or more years of experience as CNC programmer preferred

Working knowledge of 3D Surface Programming required

Good team work skills required

Good written and oral communication skills required

ME/Production Planner

General: Reporting to VP, Manufacturing, the Production Planner will be responsible for the efficient coordination of manufacturing activities related to a plastic Thermoforming and fabricating operation. He/she will be solely responsible for the efficient scheduling of the CNC, forming, fabrication and assembly departments. Will also manage job travelers and appropriate documentation and The ability to juggle multiple tasks and understand priorities is a must. Experience and/or knowledge of plastics and experience with Solid Works, VISTA and/or VANTAGE software is a plus.

Responsibilities:

· Plan and report the efficient use of all machines and personnel required to accomplish production demands on time, and on budget,

· Report daily on current and forecasted production schedule for 30-60 days out,

· Communicate cost saving ideas and measures to VP, Manufacturing,

· Attend weekly meeting and as required to keep personnel informed,

· Must be highly organized and able to effectively communicate,

· Must be able to accomplish objectives with minimal supervision,

· Manage, coordinate and communicate changes and effects to appropriate departments,

· Initiate, release, update, close, and cost all manufacturing jobs,

· Review and delivery appropriate documentation to production personnel,

· Utilize internal resources effectively,

· Attend training classes as may become necessary,

· Participate in business organizations as needed,

· Adhere to company policy,

· Understand Freetech's methods of manufacture and how we do business.

· Solid Works & Vista software,

· Computer and other software as needed,

· Trade publication and subscriptions.

· Additional Training as needed

Requirements:

· BS/BA degree preferred, High School diploma minimum. Trade school or equivalent is acceptable.

· Minimum of 3-5 years experience in production planning in job-shop/small/mid size manufacturing operations

· Ability to read and interpret 2-D blueprints and 3-D CAD files a must,

· Mechanical skills and the ability to solve problems effectively is required

· Computer skills (Microsoft: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Vista/Vantage and/or Crystal Report is a big plus. Knowledge of 3-D CAD software is also a benefit.

· Knowledge of plastics materials and forming/fabrication processes is desired.
